Mahmood (known as Mo) completed a BSc (Hons) degree in 1996, before qualifying as a podiatrist at the University of Westminster (Chelsea School of Chiropody).
​
Mo has worked within the NHS, having gained valuable hospital experience there, as well as working for Boots and Scholls.
Mo is particularly interested in bio-mechanical conditions of the foot and lower limbs, treatment of sports injuries and helping children with foot and postural problems. This can involve the provision of remedial simple insoles or functional, custom made orthotics (arch supports).
Additionally, Mo has expertise in surgical treatment of in growing toe nails, by either total or partial removal under local anaesthetic. Diabetic screening, ulcer management and provision of specialised diabetic footwear are all available and Mo completed postgraduate training in 2007 to enable him to provide expert treatment for diabetic foot complications.

Mo is registered with both The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists (https://www.scpod.org/) and the Health Professions Council (http://www.hcpc-uk.co.uk/).

WORKING WITH MO
​
At your initial appointment for your first consultation you will be assessed to identify any foot problems you present with. Mo will take a full medical history and assess your feet (ie the shape of your foot, skin condition and texture, skin colour, temperature). Advice on footwear may be discussed.
​Many issues can be dealt with during your appointment. Some conditions may need several appointments and chronic conditions may need ongoing care. Footwear modification and custom made orthoses are available. If your condition is complicated, Mo can provide a referral to a specialist Consultant Podiatric Surgeon.
The initial consultation will last 45 minutes. and follow up appointments are 30 minutes. Home visits are available for individuals who are unable to attend the clinic for treatment.
